Description of Relief Sought:
The relief sought would allow Ms.
Fern Case to use the aircraft lavatory
while the Fasten Seat Belt sign is
illuminated. Without this exemption,
Ms. Case would not be able to fly due
to a functional disorder requiring access
to the lavatory without reasonable
notice.

ACTION: Notice of applications for
exemption from the diabetes mellitus
requirement; request for comments.
AGENCY:
FMCSA announces receipt of
applications from 17 individuals for
exemption from the prohibition against
persons with insulin-treated diabetes
mellitus (ITDM) operating commercial
motor vehicles (CMVs) in interstate
commerce. If granted, the exemptions
would enable these individuals with
ITDM to operate CMVs in interstate
commerce.
