regulations at 50 CFR 600.920; and (c)
the Iowa State Historic Preservation
Officer, as required by section 106,
National Historical Preservation Act,
and the implementing regulations of the
Advisory Council on Historic
Preservation at 36 CFR 800.2.

non-federal representatives for carrying

American River Power III, LLC; Notice

Competing Applications
On March 22, 2012, the American
River Power III, LLC filed an application
for a preliminary permit under section
4(f) of the Federal Power Act proposing
to study the feasibility of the proposed
Dillon Lake Hydroelectric Water Power
Project No. 14375, to be located at the
existing Dillon Lake Dam on the Licking
River, near the City of Zanesville in
Muskingum County, Ohio. The Dillon
Lake Dam is owned by the United States
Government and operated by the United
States Army Corps of Engineers.
The proposed project would consist
of: (1) One new 30-foot-long by 30-footwide by 30-foot-high powerhouse,
containing one 1.59-megawatt turbine;
(2) one new 50-foot-long by 8-footdiameter steel penstock; (3) a new 32foot by 28-foot substation; (4) a new 30foot-wide tailrace; (5) a new 300-footlong, 14.7-kilovolt transmission line;
and (6) appurtenant facilities. The
project would have an estimated annual
generation of 9.7 gigawatt-hours.
