AGENCY: Section 1028(a) of the DoddFrank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Financial Protection Act of 2010 (the ‘‘Dodd-Frank Act’’) requires the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection (the ‘‘Bureau’’) to ‘‘conduct a study of, and * * * provide a report to Congress concerning, the use of agreements providing for arbitration of any future dispute between covered persons and consumers in connection with the offering or providing of consumer financial products or services’’ (the ‘‘Study’’). As a preliminary step in undertaking the Study, the Bureau requests specific suggestions from the public to help identify the appropriate scope of the Study, as well as appropriate methods and sources of data for conducting the Study. Based on the information received, the Bureau may consider soliciting further feedback. DATES: Comments must be submitted on or before June 23, 2012.
