The proposed information collection is published to obtain comments from the public and affected agencies. This proposed information collection was previously published in the Federal Register Volume 76, Number 345, page 79219, on December 21, 2011, allowing for a 60 day comment period. The purpose of this notice is to allow for an additional 30 days for public comment until March 29, 2012. This process is conducted in accordance with 5 CFR 1320.10. Written comments and/or suggestions regarding the items contained in this notice, especially the estimated public burden and associated response time, should be directed to the Office of Management and Budget, Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, Attention Department of Justice Desk Officer, Washington, DC 20503. The Settlement Agreement resolves a proof of claim filed by the United States, on behalf of the Environmental Protection Agency PO 00000 Frm 00079 Fmt 4703 Sfmt 9990 12079 (‘‘EPA’’) and Department of the Interior (‘‘DOI’’), against Canal Corporation for response costs and natural resource damages under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act, 42 U.S.C. 9601–9675, with respect to the Peck Iron and Metal Site in Portsmouth, Virginia. Under the Settlement Agreement, EPA will receive an allowed general unsecured claim in the amount of $4,466,402, and DOI will receive an allowed general unsecured claim in the amount of $3,889. The Department of Justice will receive, for a period of thirty days from the date of this publication, comments relating to the Settlement Agreement. To be considered, comments must be received by the Department of Justice by the date that is thirty days from the date of this publication.
