Proposed Collection; Comment Request, 6091 [2012-2728]

Download as PDF Federal Register / Vol. 77, No. 25 / Tuesday, February 7, 2012 / Notices reporting, most contractors are choosing to absorb the cost of reporting into overhead rather than separately identifying the direct cost. The contractor name, address, and point of contact with an email address are requested to facilitate reconciliation of the data and clarification of any ambiguous entries with the contractor. The Army has instituted several program enhancements that will enable DoD to further minimize the reporting burden for all parties. For instance, contract funding information can be prepopulated from defense accounting system data and edited, if necessary with a series of easy-to-use drop down menus of standard accounting data elements. In the previous data collection effort, contractors were expected to know Department funding source data. Another enhancement to the data collection effort is the drop down menus for the identification of the DoD organizational customer supported. In this regard, rather than have the contractor go into the system and presume whom they are proving support services to, the system is now designed with drop down menus that start from the top level. The DoD system will be pre-populated with information on the ‘‘organization supported’’ to minimize reporting confusion. Dated: January 23, 2012. Patricia L.
