Attestation refers to the action taken by the RRB field office employee to confirm and annotate the RRB’s records of the applicant’s affirmation under penalty of perjury that the information provided is correct and the applicant’s agreement to sign the form by proxy. The RRB estimates that 2,070 G–346sum’s will be completed annually at an estimated completion time of five minutes per response. Total respondent burden is estimated at 172 hours. The information is needed to ensure that investors in ADRs have full disclosure of information concerning the deposit agreement and the foreign company. Form F–6 takes approximately 1 hour per response to prepare and is filed by 150 respondents annually. We estimate that 25% of the 1 hour per response (.25 hours) is prepared by the filer for a total annual reporting burden of 37.5 hours (.25 hours per response × 150 responses).
