AGENCY: The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is proposing to issue a regulatory issue summary (RIS) to remind its addressees of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (ASME Code) requirements in accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) 50.55a, ‘‘Codes and Standards,’’ and of the quality assurance (QA) requirements for design control in accordance with Appendix B, ‘‘Quality Assurance Criteria for Nuclear Power Plants and Fuel Reprocessing Plants,’’ to 10 CFR Part 50.
