USCIS trained staff in USCIS District/Field Offices will be instructed to use SIT at the time of a required interview in connection with an immigration or naturalization benefit request, or at the time of an individual’s appearance at a USCIS District/Field Office to receive a document evidencing an immigration benefit, each instance following a required appearance at an Application Support Center (ASC) for fingerprinting. This information collection is necessary for USCIS to collect and process the required biometric and biographic data from an applicant, petitioner, sponsor, beneficiary, or other individual residing in the United States. (5) An estimate of the total number of respondents and the amount of time estimated for an average respondent to respond: 1,622,176 responses at 5 minutes (.083 hours) per response.
