2011, OEP staff will visit the location for
the proposed Silver Springs Compressor
Station associated with DTI’s Ellisburg
to Craigs Project under consideration in
Docket No. CP11–41–000. On April 13,
2011, OEP staff will visit the proposed
Loop 315 pipeline route associated with
TGP’s Northeast Supply Diversification
Project under consideration in Docket
No. CP11–30–000. These onsite reviews
will assist staff in completing its
evaluation of the environmental impacts
of the proposed projects. Viewing of the
areas is anticipated to be from public
access points and adjacent existing
right-of-way.
All interested parties planning to
attend must provide their own

Lock Hydro Friends Fund LII; Notice of
Preliminary Permit Application
Accepted for Filing and Soliciting
Comments, Motions To Intervene, and
Competing Applications
On July 12, 2010, Lock Hydro Friends
Fund LII, filed an application, pursuant
to section 4(f) of the Federal Power Act,
proposing to study the feasibility of
hydropower at the U.S. Army Corps of
Engineers (Corps) Green River Lock and
Dam located on the Green River in
Henderson County, Kentucky. The sole
purpose of a preliminary permit, if
issued, is to grant the permit holder
priority to file a license application
during the permit term. A preliminary
permit does not authorize the permit
holder to perform any land-disturbing
activities or otherwise enter upon lands
or waters owned by others without the
owners’ express permission.
The proposed project would consist of
the following: (1) Two prefabricated
concrete walls attached to the
downstream side of the Corps dam
which would support one frame
module; (2) the frame module would be
109 feet long, 40 feet high, and weigh
1.16 million pounds and contain 10
generating units with a total combined
capacity of 19.0 megawatts (MW); (3) a
new switchyard containing a
transformer; (4) a proposed 5.0-milelong, 69-kilovolt (kV) transmission line
to an existing distribution line. The
proposed project would have an average
annual generation of 83.277 gigawatthours (GWh), which would be sold to a
local utility.
