determined that (1) The proposed
exemption is authorized by law, (2)
there is a reasonable assurance that the
health and safety of the public will not
be endangered by the proposed
exemption, (3) such activities will be
consistent with the Commission’s
regulations and guidance, and (4) the
issuance of the exemption will not
endanger the common defense and
security or the health and safety of the
public.
Pursuant to 10 CFR 51.32, ‘‘Finding of
no significant impact,’’ the Commission
has previously determined that the
granting of this exemption will not have
a significant effect on the quality of the
human environment (76 FR 5408;
January 31, 2011).
This exemption is effective upon
issuance.

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory
Commission (NRC, the Commission) has
granted the request of Exelon
Generation Company, LLC (Exelon, or
the licensee) to withdraw its February
22, 2010 application for proposed
amendment to Facility Operating
License No. NPF–11 and Facility
Operating License No. NPF–18 for
LaSalle County Station, Units 1 and 2,
respectively, in LaSalle County, Illinois.
The proposed amendment would
have relocated selected Surveillance
Requirement frequencies from the
LaSalle County Station Units 1 and 2
Technical Specifications (TSs) to a
licensee-controlled program. The
Commission had previously issued a
Notice of Consideration of Issuance of
Amendment published in the Federal
Register on April 20, 2010 (75 FR
20637). However, by letter dated
February 22, 2011, the licensee
withdrew the proposed change.

in DeWitt County, Illinois.
The proposed amendment would
have revised the Technical
Specifications 3.1.7, to extend the
completion time for Condition B (i.e.,
two standby liquid control subsystems
inoperable) from 8 hours to 72 hours.
The Commission had previously
issued a Notice of Consideration of
Issuance of Amendment published in
the Federal Register on May 4, 2010, 75
FR 23814. However, by letter dated
February 22, 2011, the licensee
withdrew the proposed change.
