organization in support of its mission.
These costs apply to activities which
benefit the whole organization rather
than any one particular function or
activity.
Comments are invited on: (1) Whether
the proposed collection of information
is necessary for the proper performance
of the functions of the Commission,
including whether the information will
have practical utility; (2) the accuracy of
the agency’s estimates of the burden of
the proposed collection of information,
including the validity of the
methodology and assumptions used;
(3) ways to enhance the quality, utility
and clarity of the information to be
collected; and (4) ways to minimize the
burden of the collections of information
on those who are to respond, including
the use of appropriate automated,
electronic, mechanical, or other
technological collection techniques or
other forms of information technology,

responses.

Commission’s rules, 18 CFR 157.9,
within 90 days of this Notice the
Commission staff will either: Complete
its environmental assessment (EA) and
place it into the Commission’s public
record (eLibrary) for this proceeding; or
issue a Notice of Schedule for
Environmental Review. If a Notice of
Schedule for Environmental Review is
issued, it will indicate, among other
milestones, the anticipated date for the
Commission staff’s issuance of the final
environmental impact statement (FEIS)
or EA for this proposal. The filing of the
EA in the Commission’s public record
for this proceeding or the issuance of a
Notice of Schedule for Environmental
Review will serve to notify Federal and
State agencies of the timing for the
completion of all necessary reviews, and

Dam Hydroelectric Project would utilize
the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’
existing Townshend Dam and reservoir
and would consist of: (1) Two turbine
generator modules located within the
existing intake tower, each containing 6
horizontal mixed flow turbines directly
connected to 6 submersible generator
units for a total installed capacity of 925
kilowatts; (2) a new 12.47- kilovolt, 430foot-long transmission line; and (3)
appurtenant facilities. The project
would have an estimated average annual
generation of approximately 2,000
megawatt-hours.
