Description of the need for the information and proposed use: Multifamily Accelerated Processing (MAP) was initiated by the Department in May 2000. MAP is a procedure that permits approved Federal Housing Administration (FHA) Lenders to prepare, process, and submit loan applications for FHA multifamily mortgage insurance. Agency form numbers, if applicable: None. Estimation of the total numbers of hours needed to prepare the information collection including number of respondents, frequency of response, and hours of response: The number of burden hours is 419,775. The number of respondents is 90 (FHA approved MAP Lenders); the number of responses is 1,045, the frequency of response is one per submission, and the burden hour per response is 436.
