AGENCY: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Detroit District, is issuing this Notice of Intent (NOI) to prepare a Draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for flood risk management measures along the North Branch Ecorse Creek (NBEC) in Wayne County, MI. The Draft EIS is being prepared in conjunction with a General Reevaluation Report (GRR) of the NBEC to reevaluate the feasibility of providing flood risk management measures. The GRR/EIS is being completed in partnership with Wayne County, MI. The Draft EIS will address potential environmental impacts of the construction, operation, and maintenance of a number of structural and non-structural alternatives that will be evaluated as part of the GRR study. DATES: A public meeting on the study will be held on October 28, 2010 at 7 p.m. SUMMARY: The DeCA rules for accessing records, for contesting contents, and appealing initial agency determinations are contained in 32 CFR part 327, or may be obtained from the system manager.
