ACTION: Notice of Intent.
AGENCY:
The U.S. Army Corps of
Engineers (USACE), Detroit District, is
issuing this Notice of Intent (NOI) to
prepare a Draft Environmental Impact
Statement (EIS) for flood risk
management measures along the North
Branch Ecorse Creek (NBEC) in Wayne
County, MI. The Draft EIS is being
prepared in conjunction with a General
Reevaluation Report (GRR) of the NBEC
to reevaluate the feasibility of providing
flood risk management measures. The
GRR/EIS is being completed in
partnership with Wayne County, MI.
The Draft EIS will address potential
environmental impacts of the
construction, operation, and
maintenance of a number of structural
and non-structural alternatives that will
be evaluated as part of the GRR study.
DATES: A public meeting on the study
will be held on October 28, 2010 at 7
p.m.
SUMMARY:
The DeCA rules for accessing records,
for contesting contents, and appealing
initial agency determinations are
contained in 32 CFR part 327, or may
be obtained from the system manager.
The meeting will be held at
the Canfield Community Center, 1801
