ACTION:
The Chippewa National
Forest Resource Advisory Committee
will meet in Grand Rapids, Minnesota.
The committee is meeting as authorized
under the Secure Rural Schools and
Community Self-Determination Act
(Pub. L. 110–343) and in compliance
with the Federal Advisory Committee
Act. The purpose of the meeting is to
orient the new Chippewa National
Forest Resource Advisory Committee
members on their roles and
responsibilities.
SUMMARY:
The meeting will be held on
Thursday, October 7, 2010, at 9:45 a.m.

Needs and Uses: The United States
and several other countries have
undertaken to increase the effectiveness
of their respective controls over
international trade in strategic
commodities by means of an Import
Certificate procedure. For the U.S.
importer, this procedure provides that,
where required by the exporting country
with respect to a specific transaction,
the importer certifies to the U.S.
Government that he/she will import
specific commodities into the United
States and will not reexport such
commodities except in accordance with
the export control regulations of the
United States. The U.S. Government, in
turn, certifies that such representations
have been made.
Affected Public: Business and other
for-profit organizations.
Frequency: On occasion.
