Notice is hereby given that, on July
22, 2010, pursuant to Section 6(a) of the
National Cooperative Research and
Production Act of 1993, 15 U.S.C. 4301
et seq. (‘‘the Act’’), Institute of Electrical
and Electronics Engineers (‘‘IEEE’’) has
filed written notifications
simultaneously with the Attorney
General and the Federal Trade
Commission disclosing additions or
changes to its standards development
activities. The notifications were filed
for the purpose of extending the Act’s
provisions limiting the recovery of
antitrust plaintiffs to actual damages
under specified circumstances.
Specifically, 17 new standards have
been initiated and 17 existing standards
are being revised. More detail regarding

On September 17, 2004, IEEE filed its
original notification pursuant to Section
6(a) of the Act. The Department of
Justice published a notice in the Federal
Register pursuant to Section 6(b) of the
Act on November 3, 2004 (69 FR 64105).
The last notification was filed with
the Department on April 15, 2010. A
notice was published in the Federal
Register pursuant to Section 6(b) of the
Act on May 13, 2010 (75 FR 27001).

Recognition, Visualization and Failure
Prediction
Notice is hereby given that, on July
23, 2010, pursuant to Section 6(a) of the
National Cooperative Research and
Production Act of 1993, 15 U.S.C. 4301
et seq. (the Act’’), Sensory System for
Critical Infrastructure Defect
Recognition, Visualization and Failure
Prediction (’Sensory System’’) has filed
written notifications simultaneously
with the Attorney General and the
Federal Trade Commission disclosing
changes in its members. The
notifications were filed for the purpose
of extending the Act’s provisions
limiting the recovery of antitrust
plaintiffs to actual damages under
specified circumstances. Specifically,
Louisiana Tech University Research
Foundation, Ruston, LA, has been
added as a party to this venture. Also,
UltraScan, LLC, Ruston, LA, has
withdrawn as a member to this venture.
No other changes have been made in
either the membership or planned
activity of the group research project.
Membership in this group research
project remains open, and Sensory
Systems intends to file additional
written notifications disclosing all
changes in membership.
On April 14, 2009, Sensory System
filed its original notification pursuant to
Section 6(a) of the Act. The Department
of Justice published a notice in the
Federal Register pursuant to Section
6(b) of the Act on June 15, 2009 (74 FR
28277).

Public Safety Officer Medal of Valor
Review Board carries out those advisory
functions specified in 42 U.S.C. 15202.
Pursuant to 42 U.S.C. 15201, the
President of the United States is
authorized to award the Public Safety
Officer Medal of Valor, the highest
national award for valor by a public
safety officer.
The primary purpose of this meeting
is to review and vote on
recommendations for the 2009–2010
Medal of Valor nominations.
This meeting is open to the public at
the offices of the Bureau of Justice
Assistance. For security purposes,
members of the public who wish to
participate must register at least seven
(7) days in advance of the meeting/
conference call by contacting Mr. Joy.
All interested participants will be
required to meet at the Bureau of Justice
Assistance, Office of Justice Programs;
810 7th Street, NW., Washington, DC
and will be required to sign in at the
front desk. Note: Photo identification
will be required for admission.
Additional identification documents
may be required.
Access to the meeting will not be
allowed without prior registration.
Anyone requiring special
