SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: Notice is hereby given that the FHWA and other Federal agencies have taken final agency actions by issuing licenses, permits, and approvals for the following highway project in the State of Texas: US 290 from FM 2920 to IH 610 in Harris County; FHWA Project Reference Number: FHWA–TX–EIS–07–01–F. The project will be a 61.2 km (38 mi) long, six to twelve main lanes, two- or threelane frontage roads in each direction, a controlled access managed-lane (toll) facility along Hempstead Road between Bauer Road and IH 610, an advanced high-capacity transit reserved corridor, grade-separated intersections with exit and entrance ramps at intersecting roadways, and elevated directional interchanges at IH 610 and Sam Houston Tollway. It will begin in northwestern Harris County at FM 2920 near Waller, TX. It will then proceed southeast through Harris County and end at IH 610 north of Interstate Highway 10 (IH10). The purpose of the project is to reduce congestion in the US 290 corridor, enhance mobility and safety, and bring the roadway up to current design standards.
