NMFS Alaska Region manages the groundfish fisheries in the Exclusive Economic Zone under the Fishery Management Plan for Groundfish of the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands Management Area (FMP). The North Pacific Fishery Management Council (Council) prepared the FMP under the authority of the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act, 16 U.S.C. 1801 et seq. (MSA). Amendment 80 to the FMP primarily allocated several Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands Management Area non-pollock trawl groundfish fisheries among fishing sectors, and facilitated the formation of harvesting cooperatives in the catcher/ processor sector of the non-American Fisheries Act (non-AFA) Trawl Catcher/ VerDate Mar<15>2010 17:48 Aug 24, 2010 Jkt 220001 processor Cooperative Program (Program). The Program established a limited access privilege program for the non-AFA trawl catcher/processor sector. The Amendment 80 economic data report (EDR) collects cost, revenue, ownership, and employment data on an annual basis and provides information unavailable through other means to review the Program. The purpose of the EDR is to understand the economic effects of the Amendment 80 program on vessels or entities regulated by the Program, and to inform future management actions. To apply for the U.S. Department of Commerce sponsorship, the fair organizer must have all of the components of the application in order. Then, with the approval, the organizer is able to bring in their products in accordance with Customs laws. The articles which may be brought in include, but are not limited to, actual exhibit booths, exhibit items, pamphlets, brochures, and explanatory material in reasonable quantities relating to the foreign exhibits at a fair, and material for use in constructing, installing, or maintaining foreign exhibits at a fair.
