The agenda for the subject meeting shall be as follows: Tuesday, September 7, 2010—1 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. The Subcommittee will review the staff’s policy paper on potential approaches to resolve Generic Safety Issue (GSI)–191, ‘‘Assessment of Debris Accumulation on PWR Sump Performance.’’ In a Staff Requirements Memorandum (SRM) dated May 17, 2010, the Commission directed the staff to ‘‘submit to the Commission a Notation Vote policy paper on potential approaches to bring GSI–191 to closure.’’ The Subcommittee will hear presentations by and hold discussions with representatives of the NRC staff, Nuclear Energy Institute, and other interested persons regarding this matter. The Subcommittee will gather information, analyze relevant issues and facts, and formulate proposed positions and actions, as appropriate, for deliberation by the Full Committee.
