Treasury, as part of its continuing effort
to reduce paperwork and respondent
burden, invites the general public and
other Federal agencies to take this
opportunity to comment on proposed
and/or continuing information
collections, as required by the
Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995,

soliciting comments concerning an
existing notice of proposed rulemaking,

Regulation Project Number: REG–

Abstract: These regulations would
amend the final regulations for qualified
settlement funds (QSFs) and would
provide new rules for qualified escrows
and qualified trusts used in deferred
section 1031 exchanges; pre-closing
escrows; contingent at-closing escrows;
and disputed ownership funds.
Current Actions: There is no change to
this existing regulation.
Type of Review: Extension of a
currently approved collection.
Affected Public: Individuals or
households, business or other for-profit
organizations, not-for-profit institutions
and Federal, state, local or tribal
governments.
Estimated Number of Respondents:
9,300.
Estimated Time per Respondent: 30
minutes.
Estimated Total Annual Burden
Hours: 4,650.
