Abstract: 21 U.S.C. 826 and 21 CFR
1303.12 and 1315.32 require that U.S.
companies who desire to use any basic
class of controlled substances listed in
Schedule I or II or the List I chemicals
ephedrine, pseudoephedrine, and
phenylpropanolamine for purposes of
manufacturing during the next calendar
year shall apply on DEA Form 250 for
procurement quota for such class or List
I chemical.
(5) An estimate of the total number of
respondents and the amount of time
estimated for an average respondent to
respond: DEA estimates that each form
takes 1 hour to complete. DEA estimates
that 420 individual respondents will
respond to this form. DEA estimates that
2,348 responses are received annually.
(6) An estimate of the total public
burden (in hours) associated with the
collection: The total public burden for
this collection is 2,348 hours annually.
