Download as PDF Federal Register / Vol. 75, No. 134 / Wednesday, July 14, 2010 / Notices Needs and Uses: The Commission will submit this expiring information collection to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) during this comment period. There is no change to the reporting, recordkeeping and/or third party disclosure requirements. The Commission is reporting a 25,671 hour increase in the total annual burden. This increase adjustment is due to an adjustment in the number of responses by licensees who operate within the various service categories. The estimates were gathered from the Commission’s Universal Licensing System (ULS) and the CORES databases. The purpose of this information collection is to streamline the set of rules which minimize filing requirements via the Universal Licensing System (ULS); to eliminate redundant and unnecessary submission requirements; and to assure ongoing collection of reliable licensing and ownership data. The recordkeeping and third party disclosure requirements, along with certifications which are made via the FCC Form 601 are ways the Commission reduced the filing burdens on the industry. However, applicants must maintain records to document compliance with the requirements for which they provide certifications. In some instances third party coordination is required.
