Abstract: VA will use the information
submitted through the VALERI system
to perform supplemental servicing,

initiation of claim payment on loan
guaranty homes.

currently approved collection.
Abstract: Veterans, individuals on
active duty training and reservist
training, may receive benefits for
enrolling in or pursuing approved
vocational flight training. VA Form 22–
6553c serves as a report of flight training
pursued and termination of such
training. Payments are based on the
number of hours of flight training the
veterans completed during each month.
An agency may not conduct or
sponsor, and a person is not required to
respond to, a collection of information
unless it displays a currently valid OMB
control number. The Federal Register

SUMMARY: The Veterans Benefits
Administration (VBA), Department of
Veterans Affairs (VA), is announcing an
opportunity for public comment on the
proposed collection of certain
information by the agency. Under the
Paperwork Reduction Act (PRA) of
1995, Federal agencies are required to
publish notice in the Federal Register
concerning each proposed collection of
information, including each proposed
revision of a currently approved
collection, and allow 60 days for public
comment in response to the notice. This
notice solicits comments for information
needed to service delinquent home
loans.

3501–3521), Federal agencies must
obtain approval from the Office of
Management and Budget for each
collection of information they conduct
or sponsor. This request for comment is
being made pursuant to Section
3506(c)(2)(A) of the PRA. With respect
to the following collection of
information, VBA invites comments on:
(1) Whether the proposed collection of
information is necessary for the proper
performance of VBA’s functions,
including whether the information will
have practical utility; (2) the accuracy of
VBA’s estimate of the burden of the
proposed collection of information; (3)
ways to enhance the quality, utility, and
clarity of the information to be
collected; and (4) ways to minimize the
burden of the collection of information
on respondents, including through the
use of automated collection techniques
or the use of other forms of information

Abstract: VA personnel complete VA
Form 26–6808 during personal contact
with delinquent obligors. VA will use
the information collected to determine
whether a loan default is insoluble or
whether the obligor has reasonable
prospects for curing the default and
maintaining the mortgage obligation in
the future. The information will also be
used to intercede with the holder of the
loan to accept a specially arranged
repayment plan or other forbearance
aimed at assisting the obligor in
retaining his or her home.

The Department of Veterans Affairs
(VA) gives notice under Public Law 92–
463 (Federal Advisory Committee Act)
that a meeting of the Advisory
Committee on Structural Safety of
Department of Veterans Affairs
Facilities will be held on June 24–25,
2010, in Room 442, Export Import Bank,
at 811 Vermont Avenue, NW.,
Washington, DC. The June 24 session
will be from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., and the
June 25 session will be from 8:30 a.m.
until 12:30 p.m. The meeting is open to
the pubic.
The purpose of the Committee is to
advise the Secretary of Veterans Affairs
on matters of structural safety in the
construction and remodeling of VA
facilities and to recommend standards
for use by VA in the construction and
alteration of its facilities.
On June 24, the Committee will
review developments in the fields of fire
safety and structural design as they
relate to impact of natural and manmade
hazards on the safety of buildings. On
June 25, the Committee will receive
appropriate briefings and presentations
on current seismic, natural hazards, and
fire safety issues that are particularly
relevant to facilities owned and leased
by the Department. The Committee will
also discuss appropriate structural and
fire safety recommendations for
inclusion in VA’s standards.
No time will be allocated for receiving
oral presentations from the public.
However, the Committee will accept
written comments. Comments should be
