provided by the Bureau that contradicts

Issuance of the RFGP does not
constitute an award commitment on the
part of the Government. The Bureau
reserves the right to reduce, revise, or
increase proposal budgets in accordance
with the needs of the program and the
availability of funds. Awards made will
be subject to periodic reporting and
evaluation requirements per section VI.3
above.

Abstract: The date of manufacture and
compliance status stamped on a
nameplate of each turbojet engine
permits rapid determination by FAA
inspectors, owners, and operators
whether an engine can legally be
installed and operated on an aircraft in
the U.S. The information is used by
FAA inspectors, purchasers, owners,
and operators periodically, to confirm
that the engines meet U.S. EPA
pollution requirements in lieu of
searching through extensive paper
records.

directives are regulations issued to
require correct corrective action to
correct unsafe conditions in aircraft,
engines, propellers, and appliances.
Reports of inspections are often needed
when emergency corrective action is
taken to determine if the action was
adequate to correct the unsafe
condition. The respondents are aircraft
owners and operators.
