In accordance with the National
Environmental Policy Act of 1969, as
amended, and the Federal Energy
Regulatory Commission’s (Commission)
regulations (18 CFR part 380), the Office
of Energy Projects has prepared an
Environmental Assessment (EA)
regarding Marquette Board of Light and
Power’s plan to repair the Tourist Park
Dam of the Marquette Hydroelectric
Project (FERC No. 2589) located on the
Dead River in Marquette County,
Michigan. This EA concludes that the
proposed repair, with staff’s
recommended mitigation measures,
would not constitute a major Federal
action significantly affecting the quality
of the human environment.
A copy of the EA is on file with the
Commission and is available for public
inspection. The EA may also be viewed
on the Commission’s Web site at https://
www.ferc.gov using the ‘‘eLibrary’’ link.
