SUMMARY: The Department of the
Treasury, as part of its continuing effort
to reduce paperwork and respondent
burden, invites the general public and
other Federal agencies to take this
opportunity to comment on proposed
and/or continuing information

Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995,

provide applications to veterans or serve
as a conduit for patient data.

Abstract: VAAR provision 852.211–
75, Technical Industry Standards,
requires items offered for sale to VA
under the solicitation conform to certain
technical industry standards, such as
Underwriters Laboratory (UL) or the
National Fire Protection Association.
Contractor must furnish evidence to VA
stating that the items meet the
requirements. The evidence can be in a
tag or seal affixed to the item, such as
the UL tag on an electrical cord or a tag
on a fire-rated door. Items that do not
meet the standards or not previously
tested must come with a certificate from
an acceptable laboratory certifying that
the items furnished were tested in
accordance with, and conform to, the
specified standards.
