reserves the right to reduce, revise, or
increase proposal budgets in accordance
with the needs of the program and the
availability of funds. Awards made will
be subject to periodic reporting and
evaluation requirements per section VI.3
above.

Nebraska Northwestern Railroad, Inc.
(NNW), a noncarrier, has filed a verified
notice of exemption under 49 CFR
1150.31 to acquire (by purchase and
lease) from Dakota, Minnesota & Eastern
Railroad Corporation (DM&E) and to
operate approximately 28.1 miles of rail
line as follows: (1) By purchase between
milepost 404.5 near Chadron, NE., and
milepost 411.72 Engineering Station
7492+73 near Dakota Junction, NE.; and
(2) by lease between milepost 411.72
Engineering Station 7492+73 near
Dakota Junction and milepost 432.6 near
Crawford, NE., together with various
side tracks, spur tracks, connections and
other facilities located therein.
NNW states that the proposed
transaction does not contain any
provision or involve any agreement
between it and DM&E that would limit
NNW’s future ability to interchange
traffic with a third party connecting
carrier.
NNW certifies that its projected
annual revenues as a result of the
transaction will not result in NNW
becoming a Class II or Class I rail carrier
and further certifies that its projected
annual revenues will not exceed $5
million.
NNW states that it expects the
transaction to be consummated as soon
as practicable following the effective of
this exemption. The earliest this
transaction may be consummated is

AGENCY: Office of Thrift Supervision
(OTS), Treasury.
ACTION: Notice and request for comment.
SUMMARY: The Department of the
Treasury, as part of its continuing effort
to reduce paperwork and respondent
burden, invites the general public and
other Federal agencies to comment on
proposed and continuing information
collections, as required by the
Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, 44
U.S.C. 3507. The Office of Thrift
Supervision within the Department of
the Treasury will submit the proposed
information collection requirement
described below to the Office of
Management and Budget (OMB) for
review, as required by the Paperwork
Reduction Act. Today, OTS is soliciting
public comments on its proposal to
extend this information collection.
DATES: Submit written comments on or
