SUMMARY: The FAA invites public
comments about our intention to request
the Office of Management and Budget’s
(OMB) revision of a current information
collection. The Federal Register Notice
with a 60-day comment period soliciting
comments on the following collection of
information was published on October
16, 2009, vol. 74, no. 199, page 53315.
This rule set safety and oversight rules
for a broad variety of sightseeing and
commercial air tour flights.
DATES: Please submit comments by
March 8, 2010.

Abstract: The FAA has established
requirements for human space flight
crew and space flight participants as
required by the Commercial Space
Launch Amendments Act of 2004. This
rulemaking established requirements for
crew qualifications, training and
notification, and training and informed
consent requirements for space flight
participants. The rulemaking also
modified existing financial
responsibility requirements to account
for space flight participants, crew, and
FAA’s new authority to issue an
experimental permit.
