SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: As authorized by 46 U.S.C. 12121, the Secretary of Transportation, as represented by the Maritime Administration (MARAD), is authorized to grant waivers of the U.S.-build requirement of the coastwise laws under certain circumstances. A request for such a waiver has been received by MARAD. The vessel, and a brief description of the proposed service, are listed below. Abstract: The purpose of the BEA Program is to provide an incentive to insured depository institutions to increase their activities in the form of loans, investments, services, and technical assistance within distressed communities and provide financial assistance to community development financial institutions through grants, stock purchases, loans, deposits, and other forms of financial and technical assistance. Applicants submit applications and are evaluated in accordance with statutory and regulatory requirements (12 CFR 1806). Beginning in the FY 2009 funding round, the CDFI Fund requires BEA awardees to use an amount equivalent to the BEA Award amount for BEA Qualified Activities, as defined in the BEA Program regulations. Awardees with awards over $50,000 will be required to report to the CDFI Fund on these Qualified Activities. Current Actions: New collection. Type of Review: Regular Review.
