The meeting will convene at 8:30 a.m. and end at 3 p.m. The meeting is open to the public. The purpose of the Council is to provide external advice and review for VA’s research mission. The agenda will include a review of the VA research portfolio and a summary of current budget allocations. The Council will also provide feedback on the direction/ focus of VA’s research initiatives. Abstract: Executive Order 12862, Setting Customer Service Standards, requires Federal agencies and Departments to identify and survey its customers to determine the kind and quality of services they want and their level of satisfaction with existing service. VA will use the data collected to maintain ongoing measures of performance and to determine how well customer service standards are met.
