Background
Notice is hereby given, pursuant to 5
U.S.C. App. 2, § 10(a)(2), of a time
change for a previously scheduled
meeting held at the Hay-Adams Hotel,
16th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue,
NW., Washington, DC, on February 2,
2010. The meeting of the following debt
management advisory committee:
Treasury Borrowing Advisory
Committee of The Securities, Industry
and Financial Markets Association, was
previously scheduled to start at 8:30
a.m. The new start time for the meeting
shall be 8 a.m.
The Office of Debt Management is
responsible for maintaining records of
debt management advisory committee
meetings and for providing annual
reports setting forth a summary of
Committee activities and such other
matters as may be informative to the
public consistent with the policy of 5
U.S.C. 552(b). The Designated Federal
Officer or other responsible agency
official who may be contacted for

following hearing of the U.S.-China
Economic and Security Review
Commission.
Name: Daniel M. Slane, Chairman of
the U.S.-China Economic and Security
Review Commission.
The Commission is mandated by
Congress to investigate, assess, and
report to Congress annually on ‘‘the
national security implications of the
economic relationship between the
United States and the People’s Republic
of China.’’
Pursuant to this mandate, the
Commission will hold a public hearing
in Washington, DC on February 4, 2010,

This is the first public hearing the
Commission will hold during its 2010
report cycle to collect input from
leading academic, industry, and
government experts on national security
implications of the U.S. bilateral trade
and economic relationship with China.
The February 4 hearing will examine
the political, economic, and security
aspects of China’s activities in Southeast
Asia, China and regional forums, and
their implications on U.S. interests.
The February 4 hearing will be Cochaired by Vice Chairman Carolyn
Bartholomew and Commissioner Larry
M. Wortzel, PhD.
Any interested party may file a
written statement by February 4, 2010,
by mailing to the contact below. On
February 4, the hearing will be held in
two sessions, one in the morning and
one in the afternoon. A portion of each
panel will include a question and
answer period between the
Commissioners and the witnesses.

SUMMARY: Notice is hereby given of the following hearing of the U.S.-
China Economic and Security Review Commission.
