The meeting will be held on
Tuesday, February 2, 2010, from 9:30
a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Agenda: The Commission will
discuss: (1) Outcomes from the
Commission’s Long-Term Disaster
Recovery Workshop on February 1,
2010; (2) A National resource center on
children and disasters; and (3) Plans for
future work of the Commission.

Commission recommends that you

Commission’s policy is that the

The Commission will provide an

the public meeting on February 2, 2010.

to three minutes each; speakers are

inadequate time for all comments to be
heard on February 2, 2010.

The
National Commission on Children and
Disasters is an independent Commission
that shall conduct a comprehensive
study to examine and assess the needs
of children as they relate to preparation
for, response to, and recovery from all
hazards, building upon the evaluations
of other entities and avoiding
unnecessary duplication by reviewing
the findings, conclusions, and
recommendations of these entities. The
Commission shall then submit a report
to the President and the Congress on the
Commission’s independent and specific
findings, conclusions, and
recommendations to address the needs
of children as they relate to preparation
for, response to, and recovery from all
hazards, including major disasters and
emergencies.

meeting has been cancelled to allow
time for the FDA to review new
information that is relevant to the
benefit risk balance for the proposed
new indication. The agency intends to
continue evaluating the application and,
as needed, will announce future
meeting dates in the Federal Register.
