2-year testing interval at microprocessor

Background
The FHWA, in cooperation with the
Iowa Department of Transportation
(Iowa DOT) and Polk County had a NOI
published in the Federal Register on
May 5, 2006 (Volume 71, Number 87) to
complete an environmental impact
statement for roadway improvements in
Polk County, Iowa. On June 1, 2009 a
second NOI was published in the
Federal Register (Volume 74, Number
103) modifying the EIS to a tiered
document.
Due to issues pertaining to cost and
scheduling of the project, the above
mentioned notices will be rescinded,
and a corridor study will be completed
instead. Appropriate environmental
documents will be completed in the
future when and if the project proceeds.

implementing Executive Order 12372
