housing projects. HUD Program Offices
use the data to evaluate a potential
sponsor’s/mortgagor’s qualifications at
the pre-application stage to determine
that all the documentation required by
Chapter 8 of the MAP and Chapter 14
of Handbook 4470.1

burden of the proposed collection of
information; (3) Enhance the quality,
utility, and clarity of the information to
be collected; and (4) Minimize the
burden of the collection of information
on those who are to respond; including
the use of appropriate automated
collection techniques or other forms of
information technology, e.g., permitting
electronic submission of responses.

public an opportunity to comment on
