The Project includes a 70-mile double-circuit 500kV alternating current transmission line and a new 500 kilovolt/230 kV substation, as well as an advanced technology fast-acting phase shifter that will enable the transport of up to 2,000 megawatts of power from otherwise location-constrained renewable generation resources near and around the existing Eagle Mountain Substation in eastern Riverside County, California to load centers in Southern California.
