The information collected on the Form I–43 is necessary for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to determine if an individual or business is exempt from the Electronic Funds Transfer requirements of the Debt Collection Improvement Act by meeting certain conditions. (5) An estimate of the total number of respondents and the amount of time estimated for an average respondent to respond: 600,000 responses at 1 minute (.0167 hours) per response. (6) An estimate of the total public burden (in hours) associated with the collection: 10,020 annual burden hours.
