SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: By this
notice, the Office of Thrift Supervision
is announcing that the OTS Mutual
Savings Association Advisory
Committee will convene its first meeting
on Tuesday, June 9, 2009, in Conference
Room 6A at the Office of Thrift
Supervision, 1700 G Street, NW.,
Washington, DC, beginning at 8:30 a.m.
Eastern Time. The meeting will be open
to the public. Because the meeting will
be held in a secured facility with
limited space, members of the public
who plan to attend the meeting, and
members of the public who require
auxiliary aid, must contact the Office of
Thrift Supervision at 202–906–6429 by
5 p.m. Eastern Time on Tuesday, June
2, 2009, to inform OTS of their desire
to attend the meeting and to provide the
information that will be required to
facilitate entry into the OTS building.
To enter the building, attendees should
provide their full name, e-mail address,
date of birth, social security number,
organization, and country of citizenship.
The purpose of the meeting is to advise
OTS on what regulatory changes or
other steps OTS may be able to take to
ensure the continued health and
viability of mutual savings associations,
and other issues of concern to the
existing mutual savings associations.

SUMMARY: The Veterans Benefits
Administration (VBA), Department of
Veterans Affairs (VA), is announcing an
opportunity for public comment on the
proposed collection of certain
information by the agency. Under the
Paperwork Reduction Act (PRA) of
1995, Federal agencies are required to
publish notice in the Federal Register
concerning each proposed collection of
information, including each proposed
new collection, and allow 60 days for
public comment in response to the
notice. This notice solicits comments on
the information required from service
members to participate in the predischarge claims program.

for the proper performance of VBA’s

information; (3) ways to enhance the
quality, utility, and clarity of the
information to be collected; and (4)
ways to minimize the burden of the
collection of information on
respondents, including through the use
