The data is used by IRS to verify the validity of the claim for the type of nontaxable or exempt use. Current Actions: Form 4136 was revised due to Legislation or Chief Counsel Guidance, which was required by Public Law 110–289. This revision also resulted in an addition of 1 code reference and 14 line items, increasing burden hours to 4,618,145. Type of Review: Revision of a currently approved collection.
