Purpose of the Meeting: Section 301 of Public Law 101–445 (7 U.S.C. 5341, the National Nutrition Monitoring and Related Research Act of 1990, Title III) directs the Secretaries of USDA and HHS to publish the Dietary Guidelines for Americans at least every five years. At its first meeting, the Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee advised that a revision of the 2005 Dietary Guidelines for Americans is warranted. After a thorough review of the most current scientific and applied literature and open Committee deliberations, the Committee will provide its recommendations in the form of an advisory report to the Secretaries of both Departments. Meeting Agenda: The meeting will (a) include presentations by expert speakers on topics that may include the eating environment, economics and nutrient adequacy, and effects of various macronutrient meal plans on weight status; (b) allow individual subcommittees to provide updates on progress made within each subcommittee; and (c) allow for the continued formulation of plans for future work of the Committee. OMB Number: 0563–NEW. Type of Request: New Information Collection. Abstract: The Risk Management Agency intends to collect information PO 00000 Frm 00002 Fmt 4703 Sfmt 4703 for purposes of the development of noninsurance risk management tools and assessment of the tools. Information collection for this study is required for the purposes of (1) Understanding the risk and impacts of drought on agricultural producers; (2) identifying information needed by producers to assist them in their decision making; (3) tool development, and (4) on-going evaluation and testing of the developed tools. The information collection will be conducted through telephone interviews, mail questionnaires, inperson surveys, focus groups and webbased questionnaires. Results of this collection will be used to develop, revise, and improve the risk management tools. We are asking the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) to approve this information collection activity for 3 years. The purpose of this notice is to solicit comments from the public concerning the information collection activities. These comments will help us: 1. Evaluate whether the proposed collection of information is necessary for the proper performance of the functions of the agency, including whether the information will have practical utility; 2. Evaluate the accuracy of the agency’s estimate of the burden of the proposed collection information; 3. Enhance the quality, utility, and clarity of the information to be collected; and 4. Minimize the burden of the collection of information on those who are to respond, through use, as appropriate, of automated, electronic, mechanical, or other collection technologies, e.g. permitting electronic submission of responses. Estimate of Burden: The public reporting burden for this collection of information is estimated to average 3 to 15 minutes per response, depending on the survey. Respondents/Affected Entities: Agricultural Producers, and individuals and organizations involved in education and assistance to agricultural producers, including Cooperative Extension Specialists, government officials, and businesses in the agricultural sector. Estimated annual number of respondents: 5,470. Estimated annual number of responses: 4,935. Estimated total annual burden on respondents: 547 hours.
