blocks, with certain exceptions, all
property and interests in property that
are in, or hereafter come within, the
United States, or within the possession
or control of a United States person, of
those persons described in Section 5
(a)(1). On January 15, 2009, the Director
of OFAC identified as being described
in Section 5(a)(1) of the JADE Act
certain persons whose names have, as
discussed above, been added to the list
of Specially Designated Nationals and
whose property and interests in
property are blocked pursuant to IEEPA
and the JADE Act. The names of persons
whose property and interests in
property have been identified as
blocked pursuant to the JADE Act are
accompanied by the identifier
‘‘[BURMA][JADE].’’
