L. 110–286) (‘‘JADE Act’’). Section 5(b)(1) of the JADE Act blocks, with certain exceptions, all property and interests in property that are in, or hereafter come within, the United States, or within the possession or control of a United States person, of those persons described in Section 5 (a)(1). On January 15, 2009, the Director of OFAC identified as being described in Section 5(a)(1) of the JADE Act certain persons whose names have, as discussed above, been added to the list of Specially Designated Nationals and whose property and interests in property are blocked pursuant to IEEPA and the JADE Act.
