Needs and Uses: The Commission will submit this information collection to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) after this 60 day comment period in order to obtain the full three year clearance from them. The Commission is requesting an extension (no change in the on occasion and third party disclosure requirement). There is a decrease in the total number of responses; and a decrease of 150 hours for the total annual burden hours due to a recalculation of the estimates for each reporting or third party disclosure requirement. The three reporting and third party disclosure requirements are under Section 259 of the Communications Act of 1934, as amended, are: (1) Filing of tariffs, contracts or arrangements; (2) information concerning deployment of new services and equipment; and (3) notice upon termination of section 259 agreements. The information collected by the Commission will: (1) Under the requirement that incumbent that LECs who file any tariffs, contracts or other arrangements for infrastructure sharing will be made available for public inspection; (2) that LECs provide timely information on planned deployments of new services and equipment will be provided to third parties (qualifying carriers); and (3) providing incumbent LECs furnish 60 days notice prior to termination of a section 259 sharing agreement will be provided to third parties (qualifying carriers) to protect customers from sudden changes in service.
