SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION:
A. Purpose
Federal solicitations normally do not
specify delivery schedules that will
require overtime at the Government’s
expense. However, when overtime is
required under a contract and it exceeds
the dollar ceiling established during
negotiations, the contractor must
request approval from the contracting
officer for overtime. With the request,
the contractor must provide information
regarding the need for overtime.
