Description of the need for the
information and proposed use: The
information collection is used to obtain
program benefits, consisting of
distribution of insured mortgage
proceeds when construction costs are
involved. The information regarding
completed work items is used by the
Multifamily Hub Centers to ensure that
payments from mortgage proceeds are
made for work actually completed in a
satisfactory manner. The certification
regarding prevailing wages is used by
the Multifamily Hub Centers to ensure
compliance with prevailing wage rates.

Estimation of the total number of
hours needed to prepare the information
collection including number of
respondents, frequency of responses,
and hours of response: The number of
burden hours is 93,600. The number of
respondents is 1,300. The estimated
number of annual responses is 15,600.
The frequency of each response is
monthly for each application submitted
for mortgage insurance.
Status of the proposed information
collection: This is an approved existing
collection in use with an expiration date
of January 31, 2009.
