Regulatory Commission’s regulations
under the Natural Gas Act for
authorization to abandon by sale to
HESCO Gathering Company, L.L.C.
(HESCO) the Alta Mesa Laterals, located
in Brooks County, Texas, all as more
fully set forth in the application, which
is on file with the Commission and open
to public inspection. The filing may also

Specifically, Tennessee proposes to
abandon the Alta Mesa Laterals, which
are comprised of approximately 15.5
miles of small diameter pipelines,
which includes (i) Line No. 405A–100,
consisting of 10.12 miles of 6-inch
pipeline; (ii) Line No. 405A–400,
consisting of 2.63 miles of 5-inch
pipeline; (iii) Line No. 405A–500,
consisting of 2.84 miles of 6-inch
pipeline; (iv) two receipt taps,
designated as Meter Nos. 01–0147 and
01–2051; and (v) various valves and
appurtenances thereto. Tennessee states
that once Tennessee is authorized to
abandon the facilities and completes the
purchase and sale transaction with
HESCO, the facilities will be owned and
operated by HESCO in conjunction with
its existing gas gathering activities.
Tennessee avers that the Alta Mesa
Laterals are inactive for more than
twelve months. Tennessee asserts that
the proposed abandonment will not
affect service to any Tennessee shipper.

the Commission’s Regulations under the
Natural Gas Act (NGA) (18 CFR 157.205)
file a protest to the request. If no protest
is filed within the time allowed
therefore, the proposed activity shall be
deemed to be authorized effective the
day after the time allowed for protest. If
a protest is filed and not withdrawn
within 30 days after the time allowed
for filing a protest, the instant request
shall be treated as an application for
authorization pursuant to section 7 of
the NGA.
