ACTION: Correcting amendments. AGENCY: SUMMARY: We, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, published a document in the Federal Register on August 13, 2008 that revised the regulations governing migratory bird permitting. That document inadvertently used the term ‘‘migratory game birds’’ in a way that contradicts the existing definition of that term elsewhere in our regulations. This document corrects the final regulations. DATES: This rule is effective on September 25, 2008. FOR FURTHER INFORMATION CONTACT: Dr. George T. SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: Background On August 13, 2008, we published a document in the Federal Register (73 FR 47092) that revised the regulations governing migratory bird permitting at 50 CFR part 21. Section 21.21(b) of the revised regulations concern import and export permits for migratory birds. In that section, we inadvertently used the term ‘‘migratory game birds’’ in a way that contradicts the existing definition of that term in our regulations at 50 CFR 20.11(a). The definition at 50 CFR 20.11(a) limits the definition of ‘‘migratory game birds’’ to, among other things, those migratory birds ‘‘for which E:\FR\FM\25SER1.SGM 25SER1
