    Type of Review: Extension of a currently approved collection.
    Abstract: Claimants complete VA Form 21-8416b to report 
compensation awarded by another entity or government agency for 
personal injury or death. Such award is considered as countable income; 
however, medical, legal or other expenses incident to the injury or 
death, or incident to the collection or recovery of the compensation 
may be deducted from the amount awarded or settled. The information 
collected is used to determine the claimant's eligibility for income
