Abstract: These regulations
established various elections enacted by
the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act
of 1993 (OBRA) and provided
immediate interim guidance of the time
and manner of making the elections.
These regulations enable taxpayers to
take advantage of various benefits
provided by OBRA and the Internal
Revenue Code.
Current Actions: There is no change to
this existing regulation.
Type of Review: Extension of a
currently approved collection.
Affected Public: Individuals or
households and business or other forprofit organizations, and farms.
Estimated Number of Respondents:
410,000.
Estimated Time Per Respondent: 30
minutes.
Estimated Total Annual Burden
Hours: 202,500.
