The purpose of this exercise is to certify naval forces as combat-ready. Activities conducted during the exercise include air-toground bombing, shore fire control party training, amphibious landings, nonexplosive naval gunfire, fast attack craft/ fast inshore attack craft, maritime interdiction operations and antisubmarine warfare, including use of mid-frequency active sonar.
