clams, lobsters, coastal and pelagic birds
(including 5 listed species), striped bass,
smelt, alewives and herring. The area
supports over 300 migratory bird
species. In addition to the natural
resources, the area has regional and
national attractions such as the
Children’s Museum, New England
Aquarium, Faneuil Hall Marketplace,
the USS Constitution, Navy Yard
Historical Park, and many other
attractions that bring an estimated 16
million visitors per year.
