notice is hereby given that the following
meetings of Humanities Panels will be
held at the Old Post Office, 1100
Pennsylvania Avenue, NW.,

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The
proposed meetings are for the purpose
of panel review, discussion, evaluation
and recommendation on applications
for financial assistance under the
National Foundation on the Arts and the
Humanities Act of 1965, as amended,
including discussion of information
given in confidence to the agency by the
grant applicants. Because the proposed
meetings will consider information that
is likely to disclose trade secrets and
commercial or financial information
obtained from a person and/or
privileged or confidential information of
a personal nature, the disclosure of
which would constitute a clearly
unwarranted invasion of personal
privacy, pursuant to authority granted
me by the Chairman’s Delegation of
Authority to Close Advisory Committee
meetings, dated July 19, 1993, I have
determined that these meetings will be
closed to the public pursuant to
subsections (c)(4), and (6) of section
552b of Title 5, United States Code.

National Endowment for the Arts;
President’s Committee on the Arts and
the Humanities: Meeting #63
Pursuant to Section 10(a)(2) of the
Federal Advisory Committee Act (Pub.
L. 92–463), as amended, notice is hereby
given that a meeting of the President’s
Committee on the Arts and the
Humanities (PCAH) will be held on May
5, 2008, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
(ending time is tentative). The meeting
will be held in Salon IV, The RitzCarlton, 6961 Avenue of the Governors,
Isla Verde, Carolina, Puerto Rico 00979.
The Committee meeting will begin
with welcome, introductions, and
announcements. Updates and
discussion on recent programs and
activities will follow, including a focus
on PCAH’s international projects.
Reports from the federal cultural
agencies (the National Endowment for
the Arts, National Endowment for the
Humanities, and Institute of Museum
and Library Services) are also slated.
The meeting will include a review of
PCAH ongoing programming for youth
arts and humanities learning,
preservation and conservation, and
special events. The meeting will adjourn
after discussion of other business, as
necessary, and closing remarks.
The President’s Committee on the
Arts and the Humanities was created by
Executive Order in 1982, which
currently states that the ‘‘Committee
shall advise, provide recommendations
to, and assist the President, the National
Endowment for the Arts, the National
Endowment for the Humanities, and the
Institute of Museum and Library
Services on matters relating to the arts
and the humanities.’’
Any interested persons may attend as
observers, on a space available basis, but
seating is limited. Therefore, for this
meeting, individuals wishing to attend
are advised to contact Lindsey Clark of
the President’s Committee staff at least
seven (7) days in advance of the meeting
