The technical conference will be held from 9 am to 5 pm (EDT), in the Commission Meeting Room at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, NE., Washington, DC 20426. All interested persons are invited to attend. Telephone participation will not be available. Issues that will be examined at the technical conference include: the value of demand response in organized markets; comparable compensation of demand response in organized markets; barriers to comparable treatment of demand response that have not previously been identified; solutions to eliminate such barriers; and the need for and the ability to standardize terms, practices, rules and procedures associated with demand response. A further notice with detailed information will be issued in advance of the conference. Commission staff is now soliciting nominations for speakers at the technical conference.
